If your broker told you that you couldn't sell your leaps before their expiration date ...

Gotta love it. Wait for the LEAPs to expire before selling them. Yikes!

Your broker doesn't need to tell you what you won't do anyway. Part of greed's problem is that it chooses an illiquid way. Greed's so far out that df/dp is almost zero where f is Black-Scholes and p is price. Nobody is that dumb so no one trades it. If they forget to adjust it and the OBO gets a market order, it gets marked discount 10 points to intrinsic. It's just a machine. No crowd around that strike. Lawyer won't do you any good there because the exchange principals are indemnified. Called an options agreement. Lawyer won't do you any good here. Called the SI disappearing act and it will be getting very popular.
