Good Morning Susie (if you actually wake up in the morning today !),

Have you noticed that you sometimes pack into a single post to me enough topics to fill up a whole day's worth of discussion ? Some of the underlying stuff you touch on is candidate for when we're sitting in our beach chairs, sticking our toes in the sand, the late afternoon sun on our backs, waves crashing on the shore, and enough time on our hands to shoot the breeze for hours.

But since we're not at the beach ......

I understood your post completely. Fortunately, I come with a built-in "Susie-to-English" dictionary and translator !!! No guy should be without one !

The hydrogen peroxide is also a good disinfectant for an open cut. And besides, it tastes great and is less filling !

You reference to "James Bond" is similar to my statement yesterday that you are a cool customer -- good under pressure. I'm not even gonna go near the personality trait of "control" ! :-) You see ! My translator worked even before you typed your message in ! Pretty good, huh ?

I don't think your husband should compare driving a truck with driving a sports car. They're too different. However .....

A 1964 1/2 Mustang might not be the car for you. For one thing, like all cars back then, the engine area is huge and reduces driver visibility, especially drivers who have to peer over the steering wheel to see the road. <giggle>. The plastic rear window is impossible to see through, IMO.

The convertible is fun on a nice day, but I think you'd hate to drive in rainy weather, cold weather, and NEVER in snow. So you'd get to use it and enjoy it maybe 20 days/year. The seats have no back/neck support, and no safety protection what-so-ever compared to today's cars. Think about that when you put your kids in the back seat.

What does it cost to maintain a 35 year old car ? Can you make your own spare parts ?

Have you though of driving a newer car, like a Miata, a BMW roadster, a BMW 325i convertible (my first choice I'd like to see you in) , or some other equivalent ? They have all the safety features, handle like a dream, can break all known speed laws, and probably have a waaaaaaaaaaay better sound system than that AM radio in the Mustang has. I can hear that ZZ Top CD blaring away now ....

Anyway, that's my opinion on the subject. Did that help at all ?

Very Truly Yours,
Chris
