Linux & Plug & Play: You know how MS 98 is Plug & Play? Like Apple is Plug & Play? - my understanding is that hooking up a printer; floppy drive; or anything else with Linux is a nightmare to get to work - and vendors aren't thrilled about the prospect of paying the R&D necessary to do so.

Thanks Rusty for responding to BlankMind. Yet another niaive person who thinks that MSFT is the one and only exception to the Anti-Trust laws. And for anyone (specially a professor) to think that a violator of the anti-trust laws is not in the process of hurting the end-consumer is fooling themselves. In the long-run it will always come back to hurt the consumer. MSFT's domination of the desktop OS has already impacted the end-customer (both home and corp users) although they may not realize it. So how can the wise Prof say their is no evidence that MSFT's violations of anti-trust are hurting the customer? The case is about protecting the consumer - be it corporate or home consumer! MSFT is mutating the natural evolution of technology enhancements by violating anti-trust laws. This hurts innovation which suffocates new and better technology while promoting inferior technology that would normally not have survived in the marketplace. THAT HURTS THE CUSTOMER BLANKMIND!!! The trial is very much needed and MSFT will very likely be found guilty for its actions. Anyway, I dont have much time right now - gotta do a presentation in an hour - need to prep!
