Thank you for your comments. Gold funds and the XAU continue
to rally strongly. Larry Smith has pointed out that the XAU
chart remains bullish, in spite of many savvy technicians calling
for a top in the XAU and the gold stocks. Perhaps this is an example
of a situation where a stock or index catapults into extreme
overbought territory, at the beginning of a strong move.

Time will tell, of course. In the meantime, the monthly chart on
the gold-eagle.com gold funds index has not only formed a rounded
bottom, but the index is above the 200 day MA, and seems to be
holding there. This is the first time, mind you, since
1996 that we have what appears to be a significant turn.
