Options Daytrading..I find daytrading bigger 'net options way more profitable than buying small amounts of the stock. I don't think buying 2-300 of ATHM the stock is as profitable of buying the options.. With 20 calls it was possible to make 6k in a few minutes. Of course I didn't do that sticking with my conservative amount.

I no longer think that these stocks are safe as intermediate holds, save for small amounts. I think everyone forgets how 2 times in the last 2 weeks 25-30% of peoples net portfolios were wiped out. Most fled in panic, those that held are still not doing as well as those that waited and came in today. Reckless abandon is no way to trade the internets. You are not hearing the whole story when you read some of the posts on this thread and a few others. There was a lot of money lost yesterday, Those people are not coming forward and telling their story. I get a few e-mail saying that they should have sold or at least diversified their portfolios. Be careful about claims of big gains after the fact. Try to post when you enter, at what price, so others might follow suit. If not than new traders will think that this is the time to enter while in actuality the stock is heading down. Beware of newcomers to the thread using SUPERLATIVES and fantastic claims.

Strategies should be adjusted to allow for a "INSTANT correction" much like a tornado that will wipe out the nets. Be wise with margin, I never use margin. Don't let the net exuberance catch you off guard.
Don't use money that you are planning for someone's college education, or a home equity.

Trade every day like tomorrow there might be another correction. I'll still keep a few hundred shares here and there and I think SWS and TBFC are the next NTBK but I'll do as I've been doing, namely sell the gap up into strength and take profits off the table. AS far as other sectors the strategies will be the same as usual namely holding the better street beaters for intermediate holds.

Getting in this morning was timed and I did not intend to hold much overnight.

Sorry did not get back until just now...

MLTX - we'll see what it does tomorrow. If I pick it up at all I'll be going in for a ST trade (1 - 3 days depending on profitability)... this whole market is getting a bit too volatile for my taste.

I think Jenna wrote a much longer reply to this...
