Cindy, they don't care. Just wait until there is a judgement against them. Then, you will see grown people that believe in TRICK or treat act like adults!

You don't have a brother named Greg do you?

Do you think that Business Wire might be a little offended because this incident has been blown up to the point where all hell is breaking loose

And whose fault is that? Certainly not ours. If they'd reacted as Wired did, they'd have come in for praise, not criticism.

And why do you state categorically that this criticism is "unfair". That's just your opinion, and you appear to be in the minority. By quite a lot.

Business Wire is just that... a business wire service, nothing more, nothing less. If someone pays a couple hundred dollars for a press release, then they should expect to get a couple hundred dollars worth of corresponding professional service in exchange.

Precisely. Thank you for making our point. Bizwire in fact disclaims any and all responsibility for the content of the material it distributes.

IMHO, It is ridiculous and irrational to expect Business Wire (or any other wire for that matter) to provide comprehensive verification/investigation services to validate the authenticity and truthfulness of every single press releases sent through their wire.
The average Joe reads fraudulent press releases and doesn't deem them to be fraudulent at first glance, so why on earth is Business Wire supposed to have special powers for discerning truth vrs. lies??

So does that mean you'd think it would be a good idea for BW to start putting a disclaimer at the bottom of each PR? Something along the lines of BW has not independently verified the accuracy of this release and is not responsible for it's content?
