I agree. But the street may think the regulators will take a very hard look at the combination and mitigate the extent of T's reach. Did you notice how UMG was down on a day T was up 6? Under the terms of the deal UMG's value should be 84, not 77. That implies a high degree of uncertainty as to the deal's outcome. Otherwise buying UMG should be a no-brainer.
