Welcome to all the "newbies"! Just a note of caution for all of us. When you find somebody posting a "watch this stock" message, immediately click on his name at the top of the message. Scan down his posts and find out if he has been posting to that thread. If so, you know he/she is just pumping his/her portfolio. Something we take great offence in here!!

Daytrading is done based of MOMO (mommentum) and TA, little else IMHO. Without liquidity you don't have a daytrade, unless you only buy 100 shares. So watch for large volumes over short periods and "don't get greedy"! Start off by trying to make your commission plus a small profit, then if the stock keeps going look for indicators that should have convinced you to stay...if it drops look at those indicators as well! Daytrading involves buying and selling, but the real work is analyzing the indicators afterwards to learn more about the stocks quirks.

I have spent many hours studying BII and feel I know the stock relatively well, I suppose my second best is NNC....Thats because I have played them quite alot....but more importantly I did my own post-mortems afterwards to find out if and where I went wrong!

If you don't feel comfortable in a stock "get out" no matter what!!

During the hours 0830-1630 the thread should contain messages directly relating to what is happening in the market.
Nobody wants to know you don't like your IP or your discount broker. Nobody wants to know about a stock that is going to move next week. Nobody wants to know about a stock you own unless it is moving "NOW".
Nobody wants to know your interpretation of a companies worth..unless it directly relates to the MOMO the stock is now showing.
Nobody wants to see NR's on the thread!

Don't answer this post until "after hours"...we are in the trading day!!
