Well, looks like I sold those T shares a tad too soon. I knew I'd made a mistake as I just learned Microsoft was buying 2 minutes after I sold.

Oh well, I still have my leaps. :)

What are your thoughts on Nokia? I remember you had some shares, but recall you selling. They still look like they have great things ahead. T makes me nervous only because they are really getting leveraged to the hilt. It's bold and exciting, but....

Interesting to see National exit processor market. Intel has them all beat.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (CBS.MW) -- Investors rewarded National Semiconductor shares Wednesday with a 21 percent gain after the company said it plans to exit the personal computer business to focus on the information appliance market and its analog business.

Information appliance. This critter gets more interesting everyday.

Interesting story on Microsoft/T deal. I had been wondering where they would get the shares. It's a convertible deal. M gives T $5 billion and they can eventually convert for 102.5 million shares which means they get them for 48 3/4 which ain't such a bad deal. I wonder if the converts pay a dividend? Don't think I'd stand much of a chance playing bridge with Mr. Bill.
