Mike: Is it possible that MDIN is keeping extra shares in MEDINAH GOLD in order to sell them at a hefty price to the shorts who haven't squared their book prior to the shareholder date of record? Come Monday, May 10, 1999 how could a short provide the stock dividend to a shareholder of MDIN whose shares were borrowed since MEDINAH GOLD is a private company for now. In order to avoid legal entanglements, they would have to pay up. This could also be part of the strategy to teach the shorts a lesson!

Does this make sense to you?
