The only thing you're missing is the short term mindset of Wall Street and Bay Street.

You've obviously read too much Buffet if you believe that stocks should actually be priced based upon the underlying business and its prospects rather than the all important data point: the last quarterly number. <tongue-in-cheek>

"Shouldn't you come out fighting instead of trying to be
conservative? If it really is good news we want to hear that," David
Beck, analysts at TD Securities, told Mr. Lutz on the conference
call.

The same analyst said that NN should be able to ship about 100 million of waiting products in first, softer, half of Q1, and just doing another 460 during Q, which can do even without fixing problems.
Total would come 560+ millions in revenue.
Alan stated that his math is correct, then added:

"Put yourself in my position. I just had the hell beat
out of me."
Part of the problem will be fixed in Q1, which will bring 560+.
In Q2, NN will generate revenue well in excess of 560+ millions.

Also few recognized, that Alan havs already fixed the most difficult problems of NN, which others could not for years:how R&D with the best technology in WAN packet is organized,he address marketing and sales, and made NN focused better. There is no question about Terry vision, regarding the trend and technology , but his execution was rather poor.

I have no doubts that Alan who did the hard part, can quickly fix relatively the easy one.
