Brian Fagan, writing in the May edition of the Fagan Report dated April 26, says Dejour Mines was a dormant mineral exploration company on the Toronto Stock Exchange before it gained the right to acquire an initial interest in a Texas-based high-technology company. Dejour spent all of 1998 below nine cents. Mr. Fagan says Dejour's target company, Instant Documents Inc. (IDI) of Dallas, is an early stage provider of a secure same-day global delivery service for Internet-based electronic and printed documents. On April 12, Dejour announced it could increase its interest in IDI to 50 per cent for certain stock and cash considerations. By March 23, the stock had doubled and that day it was the TSE's third most active trader on a volume of 2.3 million shares. Soon after, the company traded as high as 95 cents and posted consistently high volume. Mr. Fagan does not recommend Dejour, however. He says there is no way to analyze the value of IDI and what it means to Dejour with what little information there is in the public domain.
