Thanks for the great post! These threads tend to get cluttered up with nonsense and emotional remarks, and it's great to get something useful! No offense to anyone!!! I'm as guilty as the next guy of posting meaningless messages, like this one for example. Sorry!

In case people didn't see it in the 10-Q, check the bottom of page
6. "On March 19, 1999, pursuant to the Stock Purchase Agreement,
Vulcan commenced a tender offer to purchase 3,596,688 shares of
Common Stock for a purchase price of $90.00 per share. The tender
offer expired on April 15, 1999 with no shares being tendered."

In other words, Allen's bid to acquire 54% of Go2Net was utterly
rebuffed. "The reason they made the tender offer at $90 was that they
were concerned the stock might drop," explained an analyst. "As it
turned out, the stock didn't need any support." Thanks Sherlock.
