There would also be the tall hog principle from the local fair.
The sign outside says that they have a hog inside that is so tall that if you stand on top of a step ladder you cannot reach the top of its back.
For a $1.50 you can give it a try. If you pay your $1.50, you will not tell the next sucker what you found out. Let him pay for the experience. If Barrick had proclaimed it a fraud, people would have lost money anyway as the stock had already run up to rediculous prices.
