Speaking of our favorite computer box company . . . Just bought a new C400 unit at Office Depot for $599. Yes, it is an eMachine. I thought I would give it a test drive. The manager said that they had some returns on early models for defective modems (bad batch) but almost none since several months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if a box is a box is a box? Replaced unit: Dell Dimension XPS 120. OK unit but Dell's newest 400 offering too expensive. I'll keep this a year or two and buy another, cheaper and better.
