They are producing a 2x drive now. I have a 2x ATAPI version and it is now fast enough to run some video from but its not as fast as a Zip. Finally getting to a reasonable speed though....

Right underneath the word "Imation" in the title.

This is indeed a 2x-speed Superdisk drive. i have been posting here that Imation was going to introduce this drive, and here it is!

Although for $179, one can get a CD-RW now (but not USB). BTW, the USB CD-RW drives have been getting good reviews on various sites I monitor.

USB devices...yet another market segment where CD-RW is invading. The leaks in Battleship Iomega keep getting larger and larger...
