Mort, thanks for the list. FXEN looks interesting. They are a tiny independent oil & gas co. that does drilling and production. They've been unprofitable and burned cash each of the 3 years they've been public. They've now spent almost all the proceeds of their 1996 IPO.

it looks to me as if they should run out of working capital and cash before the end of 1999, although the liquidity section of the 10k says the co. believes they have enough for the year. It does say that they hope to raise capital this year.

a risk to shorting this stock is that they could report drilling a successful gas well. Presently they are exploring in Poland, and have come up with two dry holes. Other operations in Poland appear to be less risky: they want to return to service some old wells.

This stock needs more research than I had time for today, though.
