Doesn't a hug from Intel translate into sales? :~) I don't get your point. If ASML was competitive enough, Intel would be putting its money to use elsewhere....they are investing it in SVGI not giving it back to its shareholders. Sure it may be common for Intel to stand behind one of its suppliers, but if ASML were really clearly good enough to win their business, why would they invest in SVGI? Intel could easily find another supplier segment (CMP?) to support or buy another company (perhaps in PCI audio) where their investment would generate a greater return if SVGI was such a poor risk.
