Jopawa...On MorgStan's rating.....

Edelstone does not have a Strong Buy on the stock. He has an Outperform with a 110 price target (re-iterated 4-15-99). If he raises to a Strong Buy, it doesn't take a rocksci to figure out that it would be positive for the price. If he maintains, that won't be negative unless he lowers the price target. I would imagine that we will hear any day now some news from him. Obviously, he has been holding back for a specific reason given that the stock has gyrated 20-25% over the last weeks, he is the "champion" of the issue, and that MSCO brought them pub. in 1997.

From Briefing:

12:22 ET Rambus Inc (RMBS) 61 3/4 +4 1/4 (+7%): Shares of chip-maker on a rollercoaster today -- had been up as high as 64 7/8 earlier in the session but fading a bit in recent trading. Morgan Stanley met with management yesterday and the market appears to have decided that the news was good, but Briefing.com hears that Morgan Stanley didn't hear anything compelling at the meeting, perhaps explaining the lack of followthrough after morning spike

Truff (short but a bit nervous)
