<< If I were the judge of who is sincere and who is not in this respect, I am absolutely sure I would screw it up. >> I find it easier to judge people by their actions, not by their mood or level of sincerity. But, when a murderer is faced with death and fear of the unknown, a lot of them become true believers. Religion is a mixed bag. There are many different religions and, within any religions, there are many different concepts of what the particular religion means. Religion and faith are very individual and personal. << On the one hand, he has every right to use his forces to quell a violent insurrection within his borders ... >> My friend brees, you disappoint me on this point. I have always respected your sincerity and strong convictions. I am sure that you know that Slob Milosevic removed autonomy from the Kosovo Albanians 10 years ago, and then started a brutal and repressive Serb police state in Kosovo, but you still put the onus on the Kosovo Albanians. << On the other hand, if there is attrocities committed against an ethnic group that has no ability to negotiate then we "may" determine our level of influence to correct the injustice. >> Is "determine our level of influence" the same as "bomb the shit out of them"? << Your point being that there is hypocrisy in the world or that all religion is evil? >> I have never believed that all religion is evil. But, I do believe that many people use and abuse religion, and abuse the dedicated faith of many, for their own personal gain, and, unfortunately, at the expense and misery of others. Many use religion to spread racial and cultural hatred. So, once again, we are back to the beginning. We must judge people by their actions not by their words.
