Thanks Robert. It looks like someone is anticipating something good, though it doesn't take too much buying to push this low volume stock up.

I believe that Barrick is buying Sutton, and that Newmont is joint venturing with Tan Range on its Tanzanian properties other than the Itetema, which surrounds Sutton's Balyanhulu gold property. I'm not sure if Newmont has an interest in the Geita property (it doesn't look like it from the latest NR).

In the long term, I wouldn't doubt that Barrick will try to secure the Itetema property just in case there are mineable deposits there that can extend the life of the Balyanhulu mining operation. This would be similar to Barrick's go at Argentina Gold, or Franco/Euro Nevada's buyout of Romarco's Midas property which border the Ken Snyder mine in Nevada.
