Al, as a general rule no on util's, however reits present a different situation where higher rates might signal higher prices on reit's. The reit's are more a function of long term leases that could be in place before rates rise, this might not be affected by higher rates. The reits around now have a much better handle on manageing their properties following the past fiasco. Utilities, especially gas utilities are becomming telecommunications companies and may be getting a kick out of that industry and move up in the face of rising interst rates. I bought D,& SCG a few weeks ago and have nice profits in each at this time and both are Util's. The DJBB as you know gave a sell signal in Feb. Generally it takes two rases of the discount rate to cause a decline in the market. Remember we are in Bear Correction Status which is Flashing Red Light not Green. Tom
