We've had a nice run-up and the big buyers are uncertain at this instance and they don't feel they have to pay their order filled - so they split the difference. Completely different than yesterday when almost all the blocks were at the ask or higher.

I don't think we can say that the blocks are moving from one friendly hand to another. This is possible, but I think it more likely that it's just one big trader who's a little nervous and wants to take a profit while another big trader has seen the action, heard good things and wants to take a position. Remember, today we're seeing fewer and smaller block trades with the mean block trade maybe 7000-8000. The buyer is probably getting his trades filled at random from whichever MM wants to take it; it probably isn't between big traders/institutions trading off market between themselves which they will do when they fear their large trade will itself influence the market.
