Rocketman, not necessarily, AT&T wants to also regain their "strangle hold monopoly" like they had in the past with ALL telephone access. The local telcos could have some real problems when T introduces local phone calls via cable. The other thing is that I'm sure T would love for their PE to be at least double where it is currently valued. The only thing about all these hopes in cable is that, I have had a lot of dealings with TCI in our area, and I can tell you that they are the most disorganized, worst run out fit that I have ever dealt with. I can't see cable and especially TCI being such a formidable force in the future. I really don't think they have their act together at this point. That doesn't mean that AT&T can't and won't change that.
