Dear Uncle,

I'm not only human, but a girl human! Looks like you can use some of those around here as well. :)

Actually, I started as a daytrader, still daytrade in a private mirc room, often small amounts of the "monsters" that have a tendency to run 10 to 20 points a day. I've noticed QCOM's trading pattern intraday and actually did my first daytrade on it this morning, selling after the enormous runup, then rebuying about four points lower at lunch. This is risky, as I'd hate to be caught without QCOM for any long period of time.

Just bought into GMST at 123 at the lunchtime pullback. I've noticed some discussion of it on the Q thread.

For short term trading I use basic TA, support and resistance. During volatile times (and these are those times, for sure) that may mean an hourlong or a weeklong turnaround time.

Thanks for the welcome to the thread.

PS: Teflon, I'm an ATHM long and agree that it's a great long termer.
