bully for you. keep him honest I say. go for it. re: sewer solutions around here...we came up w/about a $700 solution. don't know what your financial situation is, but here goes.

do a websearch for Sani-Plus. there is a stateside dealer in california, who's name I learned by calling the company in canada direct like from the website info. they have been used in europe for years and years, and are a cheap cheap addition of an extra bathroom even w/out Y2k concerns. anyhow, they shipped one of their vitrous china commodes/complete w/water tank and macerator box/pump via Yellow Freight on 1/2 a pallet. comes in AC or in DC for the boating/cabin in the woods types. hooked ours up to either generator or the DC converter and a car battery for infrequent flushing into our septic "hole". bets enamel pan commodes and toting duty wouldn't you agree.

hope this helps. since I know who the "toting" chore would fall to
each day, I figured this was a pretty good solution. god knows with my hydraulic ram water pump, i'm gonna have the china flushing tank full at all times(grin)
