(COMTEX) B: Beijing to Host Week-Long Hi-Tech Fair B: Beijing to Host Week-Long Hi-Tech Fair BEIJING (May 7) XINHUA - The '99 Beijing International Hi- Tech Industry Week is scheduled to be held from May 20-24, Zhang Mao, a vice-chairman of the organizational committee, announced here today. The annual event is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Commission for Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, and the municipal government of Beijing. Beijing Mayor Liu Qi and several ministerial officials are expected to speak at a ministerial forum on industrial policy during the event. Forty-four foreign government and industrial delegations as well as over 200 companies from Beijing and other parts of the country are expected to participate in the fair.
