Ten, the Playstation II sports a 128 bit processor running at 300 Mhz and a rendering engine running at 150Mhz that can pump out 78 million polygons per second (look under news/spec sheet: playstation.com.

The Pentium III has a 64 bit processor which with a voodoo3 AGP card running at 350 Mhz can pump out 8 million triangles per second (http://www.voodoo3.net/techspec.htm).

I guess it is sort of hard to compare the two, but when you look at it purely from a gamer's perspective, the Playstation II is miles ahead.

Plus, here's another piece of info. Sony will release the Playstation II in Japan in March 200, then in the USA in Fall 2000.

Here comes another gaming revolution. Should be fun to watch.
