(NASDAQ: DCTI) announced today that it has completed the first phase of its product engineering integration strategy with DataBank, SKB. netClearing can now offer a complete Internet-based transaction processing system for merchant banks. This complements netClearing's current merchant-oriented transaction processing system, which targets large enterprise-scale merchants with very high daily transaction volumes. netClearing now becomes a full service e-commerce processing facility for both merchant banks and large enterprise-scale merchants. Digital Courier announced in March of 1999 that it has agreed to acquire DataBank in a stock-for-stock transaction. "We have completed phase one of our product integration with Databank very aggressively in order to capitalize on these big market opportunities in front of us," stated R.J. The new product suite has enabled netClearing to complete a key licensing agreement with the National Bank of St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, the largest bank in the Eastern Carribean. Under the terms of the agreement, netClearing will provide the technology and processing service for all Internet-based credit card transactions to National Bank. netClearing expects to process in excess of 2 million transactions per month for the bank.
