Herb, Frivolous is almost unheard of.

These guys have a case, it just is a very poor one, IMO.

If I understand colorsynch, there was a lot of prior art, and Apple was involved in a lot of it. These medical guys were late to the program, and don't reference the graphic arts stuff as prior art in their patent.

I haven't read the case, or their patent- so this is second hand.

It's also a crap shoot in any law suit- but I think Apple is on solid ground. Doesn't mean thay are not right but could lose.

Dis be true , Mac running Windows and PowerPCs "powering" Mac OS X

Hopefully MSFT's deal with A T & T will cause a DOJ settlement that will free up Windows and :

---------
" When MacOS X ships, all Macs will feature PC software compatibility STANDARD.

Thanks to the speed of the new machines, Apple feels that they
can bundle a Windows emulator with the OS and add some
integration code and get very realistic PC hardware performance.

Imagine double-clicking on a PC program on a PC CD-ROM, and VirtualPC automatically opens the program within Windows !
------

Wonder if Sony's injunction was a co-ordinated squeeze play ?

thinksecret.com

AIM's PowerPC is the one and only, but INTC , Alpha , and SPARC , will be supported in Mac's OS:

---------
" Apple will never move away from PowerPC. That's because the chip technology is the best.

However, Apple will target MacOS X Server towards EVERY EXISTING SERVER HARDWARE IN USE TODAY.
------------

Believe it or not !
