To get a union plumbers card you need to know two things. Shit goes downhill and payday's on Friday. That's an old joke among tradesmen.

Seriously, with PVC pipe and glue fittings, plumbing is a snap. Now soldering a copper joint takes some knowledge.

Yup, glad you saw the rose and I think there is only one kind... BWDIK?

I do my own plumbing and I have copper pipes! (Note: about all I do is REPAIR the things... not put in new plumbing!)
