Why do you doubt what she says? I have been hearing the same thing from several analysts. From my perspective the visibility isn't all that great. It looks like the IDC reports confirm that this quarter is likely to be quite good for DELL, but what will results look like for the second half? Do we have any indication? No.

The reason is that the assembly turn around is very fast -- around 3 days.

BUT, this is a pretty short-range comment by Klauer. Over the long run where do we expect sales? Why did Dell choose to build new facilities throughout the world if it viewed the long term with trepidation? I expect Dell to grow unit sales at around 40%-45% per annum over the next several years. Obviously, this long term view is quite different from short-term uncertainties. Now if analysts and investors alike would adopt longer term views perhaps we might all sleep a little better.

<<Computer giant Dell (DELL: news, msgs) said its will build a site near the Nashville, Tenn. International Airport with an expected 1,000 new employees by the end of the year. Dell also said it plans to add at least 3,000 jobs within five years. -- CBS Marketwatch>>

DELL is ramping up quickly to support all of the GROWTH that they see on the horizon. If only the ANALysts would read between the lines. DELL is as healthy as can be and they'll prove that in a few weeks when they lay the cards on the table <gg>!!

Best Regards,

Scott
