Scarecrow,
I am just amazed that there are so many uninformed people risking their money. Be serious, someone asking why it seems so hard for CMGI to go higher. That is a fool waiting to lose his money. But then again God watches over fools.

Are investors overwhelmed?

It was easy when there were just a few high flyers leading the pack and giving credence to newcomers in the 'net arena.

Now everyone I know is screening 100+ stocks. They're also trading in and out in an effort to maximize profits to little effect. (Except for me, the only money I'm losing is potential profit in my long position in CMGI which is still positive)

Now we have the traditional Spring Tech sector funk. Yes it does exist and no CMGI will not be immune.

The breather we are taking in the markets, combined with no clear leaders and an overwhelming number of stock choices has made this a different market than it was just 4-6 months ago.

SILK IPOs to less than expected fanfare. But realistically isn't it still successful? Instead of a new euphoric high it induces another wild swing downward for CMGI. T locks up a monopoly for ATHM and all it does is push the stock up ~10% over the last two days. I think investors were expecting more than anyone can deliver.

I think CMGI will rebound but I have given up on trying to say when. The fact remains that the Internet will change everything and it is best to stay invested in it through the ups and downs than to play the ins and outs. Take a longer view, lay your bets, and count your money in a few years.

Best of luck everyone.

Stuart
