Holding 3 option positions. 1 is losing (CSCO). Holding 200 shares of SE when it came in line with expectations, so it could go either way. I can't even say that holding back a part of the position is good or bad. All I know is that I sold a very good ATHM option yesterday for 3 points which would have been 6 points at least today. I still think that selling profitable positions are the way to go and cutting losses and not chasing the 'roadrunner' nets.

Yesterday was a clearer for me. At 2:22p.m. I got into TBFC and it headed straight up from there. Today I got into ABOV early and it did go up, but started fluctuating soon after that. When others started dropping I just sold ABOV and left the sector, concentrating on others until GEEK triggered the buy signal. It was expected as GEEK was both a watch list play and earnings play and already had unusual activity. It triggered a buy signal last week even as the nets were down but eventually succumbed to selling pressure. I've gotten and sent e-mail on the company last night and a few thought something would happen.

That buy trigger was clear, so I entered. It doesn't help second guessing, anticipating or wishful thinking. I entered a tad late because I was still not quite convinced this positive reversal would take hold. It did.

Had the sector reversed like yesterday last hour we would have known, it didn't.
