There are a number of very large funds that have high turnover rates. Of course the shareholders pay for this. Some of these Funds are doing daytrading of internet stocks and stocks like DELL. The biggest market makers (the large brokerage firms) IMO manipulate more than most realize. I have a number of classmates that work on Wall Street and they have shared some insights. Yet, LONG TERM investors can forget about all of this and ignore the volatility. Best Regards, Scott

Chuzz- I don't subscribe to the MM manipulation game either, though sometimes it makes for good conversation when you want to blame someone else when the market moves against your stock. Unfortunately, the fact remains that supply outpaced demand today for DELL stock at prices we might view as reasonable. If anything, the BIG BOYS were probably dumping DELL stock just like the little guys. The only difference between the two was that the big boys had more to unload. However, both are human and run scared in the same manner. ForeverDell
