Virginia Congressmen Rick Boucher and Bob Goodlatte introduced measures today that would require AT&T and other cable companies to give outside ISPs access to their broadband Internet infrastructure--a rule that AT&T has said would undermine its move into cable phone and Net markets.

Oops... the last thing you want to do, if you want to create a monopoly, is to get T on your side.

NOPE...I DON'T THINK SO!...read the bottom part.

""What's relevant on this issue is that there are going to be multiple
facilities, not the specific size of one company's footprint in one specific facility," said Blair Levin, a former FCC staffer who now represents AT&T-controlled @Home in Washington. "

Also, don't you wonder where the two Congressmen are from?
Where is AOL located again? This should answer the question.

Now tell me if two Congressmen can make a big difference.
I believe ATT has more lobbyist in Congress than AOL has......i'd say way MORE THAN the lobbyists of AOL.....now let's do the math.

BTW, I thought AOL is not scared of ATHM Broadband...why is it that things looks pretty shaky in the future for aol....JMHO.
