To the thread: This just received via e-mail Ken Moss *************************************************************** MetroPLUS - Talking Directory Gateway TM “Internet Telephone Company in a Box!” Our Core Program MCC MetroPLUS Communications Corp. markets retail licenses for its telephone-to-telephone Internet calling services. We are selling an “Internet Telephone Company in a box” that allows an Affiliate to market Internet Telephony services to their communities. Talking DirectoryTM telephone-to-telephone internet calling is accomplished by routing calls through Talking Directory Gateway'sTM residing within each community. Traditionally, telephone service is provided over the Public Switched Telephone network (PSTN). Now with the advent of the Internet, we can use Internet Protocol (IP) to transmit voice and IP is considerably more efficient than the PSTN, presenting significant cost savings. What is a Local Calling Area? Every city, suburb and town has a local calling area. Calls beyond the local calling area are known as long-distance calls. Extended Local Calling Area - City to Suburb/City-to-City/Country-to-Country By installing a Talking Directory GatewayTM in neighboring community, we can cost effectively expand the local calling area between communities, cities, and even countries. Comparison On one hand traditional long distance is known for expensive per-minute charges, time-of-day restrictions, unpredictable and often inaccurate billing, confusing and often misleading rate plans and expensive phone cards with high surcharges and per-minute rates. On the other hand, Talking Directory Gateway'sTM telephone-to-telephone Internet calls offer some very distinct advantages over traditional long distance including no per-minute charges, no time-of-day restrictions, one low monthly rate and a surcharge-free phone cards. Cost Savings to the Customer A traditional one-hour long-distance call ranges between $6.00 (10 cents/min) and $13.00 (22 cents/min) for the call. By placing the same call through the Talking Directory GatewayTM , that same call would cost between $0.60 (1 cent/min) and $1.80 (3 cents/min) resulting in significant savings. What is the Talking Directory Gateway'sTM ? The Talking Directory GatewayTM is a personal computer with specialized hardware and software that creates a telecommunications switching system for the Internet. This unique blend of hardware and software extends local calling areas and provides callers with a variety of information and business services. What is a License? A License grants a local affiliate with an exclusive territory to market the Talking Directory Gateway'sTM service. This provides the local affiliate with a unique opportunity to enter into the lucrative Internet Telephony phenomenon and to capitalize on the profits by building a revenue generating customer base. Affiliate Market Building A simple four-step process is followed in the development of a new affiliate as we expand into each new territory: Step 1 - Installation of the Talking Directory GatewayTM with the connections to the Public Switched Telephone network (PSTN) and to the Internet Provider (IP). We then complete the network configuration and testing and the installation of the Automated Business Center (ABC) and the Administration and Billing systems. Step 2 - Organization of the business by finalization of license agreements, collection of the license fees, establishing bank accounts, completion of the training process and launching of the business. Step 3 - Building the customer base through group marketing, charter memberships, on-line and referral marketing. Step 4 - Upselling the customer base into new services including a variety of information (movie information and show times, vide updates, lottery results, etc.) and business services (talking ads, audio brochures, etc.). Territories - Phase I Within Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley we are expecting to license 10 affiliates in the area for a total potential license fee revenue of $750,000. Phase II Expansion Upon completion of Phase I, we will begin to expand throughout the Province of British Columbia into Victoria, Nanaimo, Campbell River, Whistler, sunshine coast, Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon, Kamloops and Prince George. Simultaneously, we will expand into Alberta with Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge also Washington State with Bellingham, Seattle, Tacoma, Redmonds and Everett. Potential license fee revenue of $2 million is expected. Phase III Expansion During Phase III, we will begin to spread throughout North America into a wide variety of cities, suburbs and towns. Potential license fee revenue of $200 million is expected.
