Actually I have a lot of pain due to the negative impact on AMD.

AMD WAS FINALLY breaking out north of $18 and then this news comes out.

THIS IS NOT GOOD NEWS for AMD at all just as NSM has folded its tent.

It seems like folks don't value the SSE crap.

They either want the faster MHZ so PIII 500's are selling fine or the 466 Celerys.

I imagine some buyers figure the Celery 466 must be just as fast as a PIII 450 so why pay a $300-400 delta in system costs.

I guess "Mhz sells" strikes again.

I suspect AMD is having the same problem with the KIII frankly.

Why buy a more expensive KIII 400 when you can buy a K6-2 450 for less.
