Thomas, my new USB ZIP also installed easily. I've re-plugged it
several times since and it works. Not everone is so lucky, and
Stephen Manes wrote about this in Forbes...

This is not a USB ZIP problem, but rather one of several
USB standards. Little did I know that my new Compaq PC
[Jan.1999] has an obsolete USB interface. Upon ZIP installation
the program pointed this out, but the ZIP works.

Another poster has warned of the USB mess here previously,
but I forget who it was.
