victor... I can only guess that there is news out there or that CPQ just got waaaaaaaaay oversold. 30 is a loooong way off and will be more difficult to achieve from here than will be 39 from 30. El

Hey Vic, when was the last time CPQ closed up over a point? It's been too long! Just think another 20 or so days like today and CPQ will be near it's 52 week high!

victor: It looks as though whoever had conviction had it early in the day. 10 million was reached in about two hours, on a price rise of about 5/8ths. I think we can assume that some of the follow-through was momentum.

Actually, it appears from this intraday chart, that the early volume was heavy selling. This is a 1 minute interval chart for today. The volume on the bottom is color-coded for up and down volume - there was heavy selling near the open and then again right after 10:30. The only other sell spike was at the close. Looks like the majority of the trading today took place around 24-3/16.
