Interesting theory—which unfortunately doesn't fit the facts.

It appears to me that the Webnoders were offended that Business Wire had tried to define and enforce their trademarks and professional parameters,… and that the Webnoders took to their usual tactics of flaming and attacking when anyone doesn't agree with them

Even though there is some question whether having 'Business Wire' in the byline (simply as a matter of historical record) is an infringement, Webnode happily complied and removed it anyway, without any additional 'editorial' or comment.

Cindy, Well perhaps then BW ought to revise its complaint and eliminate all but the trademark claims? Sometimes companies get too big for their britches and bite off more than they can chew before they realize it. You are familiar with the McLibel case in the UK, right? Sometimes it doesn't matter who wins or loses, and you have to wonder: Just who has more to lose here in terms of public relations? You'd think that a company whose business is PR would think of such things. But then again, PR people often claim that there is no such thing as bad PR. However, that's usually because they're making money off the PR. I think, just maybe, someone's been breathing too much of their own exhaust.

BW started losing credibility when they started making threats.

No threats = No problem.

Threats = Problem.

This is pretty simple minded stuff. Common sense stuff, actually.
Little bits and pieces of here and there logic will feign you around.
