Yes, I commented on that earlier in an exchange of posts with Rico, who was more in a transmit than a receive mode.

To Smart Investor - Get Serious!

I hope you're right that aol will run up again tomorrow. However, if it does, it certainly will not be because of a general consensus that T will not be able to monopolize cable. If there is one thing i am willing to bet the farm on it is the fact that no such realization will occur tomorrow. Furthermore, the momentum right now is with T due to an army of investors who have very little understanding of the cable vs. telephone only argument. They have even less understnding as to what options are available to aol to compete with T. There is this naive consensus right now that broadband is only available through cable and T has cable sewed up. What a joke!! In the meantime the fortunes of aol investors will be subjected to a general ignorance of the investing majority who in the final analysis don't have a clue as to what this market is all about and what impact each competing technology may have.

After a brief vomiting next to the hot tub DELL bought me, I've logged onto the thread to view today's reactions.
Here's mine.
Now the tax bite doesn't seem so bad.
Those in high must be seeking counseling.
I feel that, knowing nothing, the market does not lie. The big guys are bigger than me. Profound, huh?
I, he, she, it, them don't know ever what will happen.
I still have faith in the analyst targets.
This isn't fun at all.
Sailing is.
Good luck all!

I am not sure people realize just how big this bill is. When this bill passes, essentially AOL has its' cable deal. And there is no doubt it will pass, there is a ton of support on both sides of congress. My guess is that to stop it, AT&T will quickly make a deal with AOL on its' own. Sort of like what happened to health care when people started talking about national health care. Then the HMO's were formed (ie. the insurance companies own solution - what a joke).
