I'll trade you a 'declamation' for two used 'liable's.

"Exchange the word "defamation" for the word "embarrassment."

Just don't feign me around.

Do you feel these two words are synonomous? Check your Roget's.

No, no, no, no, no. These words can't just be thrown around haphazardly. Defamation has a meaning very different from embarrassment. Can't be substituted at all. You defame a person (which could be a corporation or other legal entity) with false statements about that person, which tend to subject that person to ridicule, or bad opinion. For example, the things you say about Janice Shell, IMHO, are defamatory.

Being the unwitting agent in the propagation of a hoax did not cause BW to be the victim of false statements about BW which tended to subject BW to ridicule or bad opinion. I mean, you can distort the English language all you want and it isn't going to change that simple, pristine fact. I will concede for the sake of the argument that a hoax involves false statements, but the false statements were not about BW. See?

What does defecation have to do with this case?

Ooops! Rhetorical question. Never mind.
