Good points. VLSI has let us down many times when we thought it would do very well.

I am not in a position to have first hand facts, but the sources on this seem very reliable. I don't think I personally have a legal case to offer them because nothing I have is first hand.

Apparently they made up in stock options and such for the staff what they took away in stock price, but the duty is to the stockholders over the staff, I think, so I think they should have had to take the STM offer. They must have had some legal "out" else they'd not have done it, don't you think? They must realize they are under scrutiny in this matter.

You know I did make a fair amount of money on all this, even if I did screw up on the leaps. It could have been a lot worse. Suppose we ended up with 17? Yow!

And it was fun to feel we had a sense of what was going on with our stock, wasn't it? Even now, we can watch PHG lapping up all the shares. We know who is buying, who is selling. It's power.

Linda

PHG has started paying 20-7/8. Interesting! I'm not selling my leaps till they pay 21-1/8. <g> --Linda
