Perhaps... perhaps not. The pII actually outperforms the pIII except in two irrelevant respects. sSE, which is yet to catch on, is not a plus yet. The pIII can be eventually clocked to much higher speeds but clock for clock it is actually slower than the pII, sooo why pay more? Maybe everyone is not as stupid as iNTEL presumes them to be.
