Hi everyone. I have been out of touch for a while, but I thought I would update you on a conversation I had with Mr. Hume. He has told me early this week that weather was a problem and they will be pulling out for a short period. The will allow the geo's to catch up on their modelling.
They have had an additional intercept of about 30' of 2% nickel but with no massive sulphides on the south side of the fault which has not been reported. Mr. Hume and the geo's believe this is a good indicator. They will be doing some deep holes when work resumes. As these holes cost over $50,000 each, they want to be sure where to drill.
They have a confidentially agreement with Inco and Falconbridge. NWI provides them with information under an agreement of no hostile takeover of NWI. They feel there is a 70% probability of an economic deposit.
The data is being compiled and studied and the prov. of Quebec has apparently retained a Professor Naldrid from U of T to study the data.
Also, I understand that FL has done a "pre" prefeasibility study to determine if what has been found so far could be milled at the Matagami mill. Apparantly the figure of 4 mill. tonnes has been bandied about. That is enough for an open pit mine of limited production.
