You are exactly right. If T does not open up the cables, AOL will be reduced to paying for access, or becoming a content-provider only via cable lines. Those whom believe T would be forced to open the lines because they would be a monopoly are delusional, IMO.

That said, the lights are not going out on AOL right now. Cable is quite a way away, and AOL has time to make a ton of cash before then. Things can change very, very quickly. Now we see who has real foresight. Do people start taking profits after every run, or does it keep going into the stratosphere based on Steve Case's steering ability? I'm holding my shares...
