That may very well have happened, but I would challenge some of his assumptions, for instance that negative hypesters are more damaging to investors than positive ones. There are far greater numbers of the bullish pumpsters, and imho the greed they prey on is far stronger in novice investors in a bull market like this than is their fear.

He has a point about the 'paid shill' epithet being tossed around a little overmuch, that's true imho for pumpsters and bashers both. People just like to put their mouth where their money is, and that accounts for the great majority. Some just object to the hypeing of crap, and speak up when it happens on bulletin board threads, then they get accused of being shorts or working for shorts. That happens with the FBNers all the time, and I know they're not, they're really just the vigilantes they say they are. I guess you saw how they got sued by [reference deleted]? - #Subject-27856 ... really amazing that, those people don't seem to have any problem with fraud, but they come down hard on an April Fools joke.
