Skipper, it is crazy, the $ should be attracting money with higher rates, however it has fallen out of a rising wedge which targets the 98 area and should help continue the bull move in gold. I misspoke recently in my explanation of the rally in gold of the sept bottom, which was in direct correllation to $ weakness. It appears many smart traders were anticipating the turn in the $ before the turn in POG and recognizing the pattern in the xau and the level of bearishness in the gold complex. bb
