Slider, I have a friend that is huge into alerting folks about the coming oil depletion....This guy is no nut....he is a genious. i am so bullish long term on the patch it is a downright negative in my trading psychosis. It cost me big time in early 98. i would look at put options on CDG two months out for 1/2 on the ask. I couldn't believe they would ever amount to anything! Where did CDG bottom...20? Those 1/2 put options became 40 baggers folks! Always hedge is the lesson i learned in 1998. <Since most stocks seem to spend as much time going down, as they do going up (VBG) - why should making money on either the long, or the short side, make ANY logical difference ?> BINGO! You da man Slider for being man enough to admit a mistake and then profit from it.
